The International Student Support (ISS) Team offers numerous events and workshops, and offers free-to-use space for your own organizations needs. Please see the information below for our current schedule of events, workshops, and space available requests.

Group Space Request

The °®°®Ö±²¥ World & International Student Success Center (ISSC) allows use of their space to provide a collaborative space for engagement. Departments, clubs/organizations, local community groups are all welcome to request space, but must complete the following form and await formal confirmation from an ISSC representative. All requests MUST BE MADE AT LEAST 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE. The Bookings Calendar below displays rooms when they are unavailable.

Hurricane Awareness — Have you ever experienced a Typhoon, Tropical Storm, Cyclone, or Hurricane? Do you know how to prepare for Florida's extreme weather events? Learn how to stay safe and prepare for Florida's Hurricane Season with the International Student Support Team!

De-Stress Fest & Scam Prevention Week — Whether you are a new student getting used to college life or overwhelmed and trying to get through mid-term exams, the International Student Support Team is here with relaxing activities to "De-Stress" from exams! Also, learn to avoid online scammers during our simultaneous Scam Prevention Week!

Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Auto Safety — New environments are full of new adventures. However, with the state of Florida ranking among the worst in Pedestrian and Auto safety, there is a reason to be cautious while admiring our state. Join our Team as we give you tips and tricks on being safe as a Bicyclist, Pedestrian, and Driver near Florida roadways, which can save your life!

Graduating Cap Decorations — As a graduating student, you can look forward to the future. The International Student Support Team offers our graduating students free supplies to create cap decorations! Students who deocrate their graduation caps can enter a °®°®Ö±²¥ Cap Contest to win prizes.

Sash Ceremony — International students graduating and being honored during Commencement are able to participate in °®°®Ö±²¥ World's Sash Ceremony. The ISS Team assists with the ceremony, offering students a once-in-a-lifetime way to be recognized for their achievements, represent their country, and get a free country flag sash!

Where is the International Student Success Center (ISSC) on campus?

The International Student Success Center is located on the 1st level of the Faculty Administration Office (FAO) building on the Tampa campus. The nearest entry ways are next to the Social Science building (SOC) through either double-doors, or students can enter the Ground level nearest to the 7B parking lot and walk up to the 1st level.

Who operates the International Student Success Center?

The International Student Success Center is a space shared by International Student Support (ISS) and International Admissions (IA) as of Summer 2024. The departments are operated under °®°®Ö±²¥ World.

If normal business hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, can my group host an event before or after hours?

Yes. However, you will have to coordinate with a representative of ISSC to see if the time and space is available.
